DeAngelo Stewart (ex Al Safa) joins Kriol Star

Kriol Star (Praia League) agreed terms with 29-year old American guard DeAngelo Stewart (197cm-95kg-1995, college: PFW). He was about to sign at Al Safa in Saudi Arabian SBL league. The last season season he played at Neftci IK Baku in Azerbaijani ABL where in 8 games he had very impressive stats: 18.5ppg, 6.8rpg and 3.6apg. He helped them to win the cup. Stewart also played for NE Megaridas (Elite League) in Greek league. The other team he played shortly was SK Slavia Praha (NBL) in Czech Republic league.
He is quite experienced player. Stewart has played also professionally in Azerbaijan, Georgia (Batumi), Greece, Kosovo (Prizreni), Portugal (Esgueira and Vitoria SC/Costa Guerreiro Lda.), Norway (Froya Basket) and TBL (Owensboro T. and Jamestown Jackals).
Among many awards he was voted to USBasket.com All-TBL Honorable Mention back in 2019.
He graduated from Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2017 and it is his eighth season as a professional player. Stewart played for other colleges like: Northwest Kansas Technical College, Alabama State University.
